Mark Houser has over 30 years of real estate experience and is currently President and Owner of EquityOne Development Corporation and its affiliate EquityOne Sports Development. Mark co-founded EquityOne Development Corporation in 1995 for the purpose of developing commercial office and industrial properties in the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area. EquityOne has been responsible for the development of over 1.5 million square feet of property at a value in excess of $70,000,000.00. As President of the company, Marks' responsibilities include every aspect of development from site selection, feasibility studies, due diligence, planning and zoning, selecting and negotiating contracts with the project architects, engineers and contractors, to construction management, securing financing, marketing and leasing. Mark founded EquityOne Sports Development in 2001 as a specialized offshoot of EquityOne Development. EquityOne Sports is a full service consulting and design/build company specializing in the development of sports facilities for public and private ownership. EquityOne Sports handles every aspect of sports development from project feasibility to design, construction, financing and program management. EquityOne Sports designed and developed the Libertyville Sports Complex for the Village of Libertyville in suburban Chicago, Illinois. The 25 million dollar Complex is situated on 48 acres and features a 169,000 square foot indoor sports center, a lighted outdoor softball field, an 80 tee golf learning center, a 27 hole miniature golf course and an outdoor 8 station batting cage. In addition to sports center development, Mark has consulted on the feasibility of numerous sports centers throughout the Midwest. In 2005, Mark teamed up with Peter Heitman of McHenry/Lake Professional Baseball Group, in searching for a McHenry or Lake County community in which to build a multi-purpose stadium for a Professional Independent baseball team and general community use.
